Sineo Packaging Goes Solar with Positive Zero Partnership

Pushing Sustainability Beyond the Product at our Solar Powered facility

At Sineo Packaging Manufacturing, a proud joint venture with AW Rostamani Group, our mission has always been rooted in sustainability. From the eco-friendly products we offer to the values that shape our everyday operations. Now, we’re proud to take that mission one step further.

In partnership with Positive Zero, we have installed a 460 kWp rooftop solar system at our production facility in Dubai Industrial City 2. This milestone marks a major leap in our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and produce packaging solutions more responsibly than ever before.

Part of a Larger Vision

This isn’t just a standalone initiative. The project is part of a broader clean energy program driven by AW Rostamani Group, in collaboration with Positive Zero and its subsidiary SirajPower. This marks the sixth project in the Group’s ongoing partnership with Positive Zero, bringing the total installed solar capacity across AWR’s sites to 2.7 megawatts peak (MWp).

The system at our facility alone is expected to generate 7.7 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity over a 10 year lease period, eliminating thousands of kilograms of carbon emissions annually. That’s the equivalent of planting tens of thousands of trees and letting them grow for a decade.

Why It Matters for Sineo Packaging

As the region’s only sole sustainable packaging manufacturer, we’ve always believed in going beyond the bare minimum. Whilst many businesses focus only on the product, we look at the entire lifecycle, from raw material to delivery and now, to how we power our facility.

This solar installation significantly reduces our reliance on conventional energy sources and allows us to manufacture our recyclable, biodegradable and compostable food packaging with an even smaller environmental footprint. Whether we’re producing our signature square kraft bowls or our growing range of food safe packaging products, we now do it with cleaner energy and greater purpose.
